Daimler otobüs grubu, Mannheim otobüs tesislerinde elektrikli otobüsler için merkezi bir şarj istasyonu kurdu.İstasyon hizmeti,kablo ve pantograftan şarj etmek için tasarlandı mevcut istasyon, eCitaro’yu üretim sırasında ve teslimattan önce şarj etmek için kullanılıyor. Bu şarj istasyonunun özel özelliği, şarj cihazlarının yerden yaklaşık beş metre yükseklikte asılı olmasıdır.
Şarj istasyonunun dört park alanı vardır. Her biri 150 kW çıkışlı dört şarj cihazı ve her biri 300 kW olmak üzere iki şarj cihazı kullanılıyor. Altı şarj cihazı, üç farklı teknoloji ve iki farklı üretici tarafından tedarik edilmiş. Şarj istasyonundaki toplam bağlantı gücü etkileyici bir 1,2 megawatt insan kolu kalınlığında kablolar kullanılıyor.
