2023 Ekim ayında dünya tanıtımı yapılan e-Actros ”İnternational Truck Of The Year 2025” yani uluslararası yılın kamyonu ünvanına layık görüldü. Bu ünvan da bir çok tartışmayı yeniden gündeme taşıdı.

Geçen yıl Volvo Trucks tamamen elektrikli serisi FH Electric IToY jürisi tarafından en 2024 yılının iyi yeni kamyon olarak değerlendirildi ve ”Truck Of The Year 2024” ödülüne kayık görülmüştü.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ın eActros 600’ü 2025 Uluslararası Yılın Kamyonu seçildi

Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ın eActros 600 elektrikli serisi, 2025 Uluslararası Yılın Kamyonu ödülünü kazanarak elektrikli çekici/kamyon segmentinde önemli bir başarı elde etti. Bu ödül, Avrupa’nın önde gelen ticari araç basınını temsil eden 24 editör ve kıdemli gazeteciden oluşan bir jüri tarafından verildi. eActros 600, özellikle çevre dostu ve verimli elektrikli kamyon teknolojisiyle dikkat çekti ve rakipleri Volvo Trucks’ın Aero serisi ile Iveco’nun S-eWay modellerini geride bıraktı.

IAA FUARI Basın Günü’nde ödül, Mercedes-Benz Trucks CEO’su Karin Rådström’e takdim edildi. Jüri, eActros’u seçerken teknolojik yenilik, sürdürülebilirlik, enerji verimliliği, çevresel etki ve toplam sahip olma maliyeti gibi kriterleri göz önünde bulundurdu. Ancak bazı (telefon tablet tanıtımı yapan youtuberlar) uzmanlar(!) aracı yüzeysel olarak tanıttı rakiplerinden habersiz olarak teknik değerlendirmeler de bulundu. Türkiye ile Avrupa’dan ticari araç eleştirmenleri, MAN e-TGX’in daha uzun menzile sahip olmasına rağmen eActros’un ödülü kazanmasının tartışmalara yol açacağını belirtti.

Tasarım ; yeni nesil eActros 600 ve dizel ProCab serisi, ticari araç meraklıları tarafından eleştirilere maruz kaldı. Önceki nesillere kıyasla aracın dış tasarımı, “buzdolabı” ve “çamaşır makinesi” gibi benzetmelerle alay konusu oldu. Çünki ön gövdenin düz ve yuvarlak olması, yan bordo, kapılar ve üst tavan çatısının Actros MP4/MP5 serisinden alıntılanmış ,sadece ön gövde de yapılan yuvarlama ve alt tampon ve farlar ”fütüristik” 80 milimetre uzatılan tasarım olduğu belirtilse de ”gözünüz alışacak” yorumları yeni Actros MP6 e600 ve dizel ProCab serisi için kabul görmedi. İç tasarımın ise selefi ile aynı olması ve geliştirilmemesi de hayli olumsuz yorumlara neden oldu. Yeni Actros’un MP6 nesli, önceki MP4 ve MP5 serilerinden çeşitli unsurlar taşıyor olsa da, özellikle aracın ön kısmındaki fütüristik detaylar bile kullanıcıların beklentilerini tam anlamıyla karşılayamadı.

Teknik özellikler açısından eActros 600, 544 beygirlik sabit güç ve 816 beygirlik anlık maksimum güce sahip bir elektrik motoruna sahip. Ayrıca, 600 kWh kapasiteli lityum-demir-fosfat bataryalarla 500 kilometre menzil sunuyor. Türkiye’de üretim konusunda CEO Rådström, şu an için Almanya’daki üretime odaklandıklarını, ancak yeterli talep oluşması durumunda Türkiye’de de üretim yapmayı değerlendireceklerini belirtti.

Bu gelişmeler, elektrikli kamyonların geleceği üzerine yeni tartışmaları gündeme getirirken özellikle tasarım ve menzil konuları üzerinde durulmaya devam ediliyor.

The e-Actros, which was introduced to the world in October 2023, was deemed worthy of the title of ”International Truck Of The Year 2025”, that is, the international truck of the year. This title has also brought many discussions back to the agenda.

Last year, Volvo Trucks’ fully electric series FH Electric was evaluated by the IToY jury as the best new truck of 2024 and was seen as a candidate for the ”Truck Of The Year 2024” award.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ eActros 600 model has been named the International Truck of the Year 2025, marking a significant achievement in the electric truck segment. This prestigious award was granted by a jury consisting of 24 editors and senior journalists representing Europe’s leading commercial vehicle publications. The eActros 600 stood out for its environmentally friendly and efficient electric truck technology, surpassing competitors like Volvo Trucks’ Aero series and Iveco’s S-eWay models.

The award was presented to Mercedes-Benz Trucks CEO Karin Rådström during the IAA Transport Press Day. The jury based their decision on several criteria, including technological innovation, sustainability, energy efficiency, environmental impact, and total cost of ownership. However, some critics pointed out that MAN’s e-TGX, with its longer range, should have received more recognition, sparking debates about the fairness of the selection process.

In terms of design, the new generation eActros 600 and its diesel counterpart, the ProCab series, received criticism from commercial vehicle enthusiasts. Compared to previous generations, the exterior design of the vehicle was likened to a “refrigerator” or “washing machine,” and the interior was criticized for resembling its predecessor too closely. Although the MP6 generation of the Actros incorporates some design elements from earlier MP4 and MP5 series, the futuristic details in the front section failed to meet the expectations of some users.

From a technical standpoint, the eActros 600 features an electric motor with 544 horsepower in constant power and 816 horsepower in peak power. It also offers a range of over 500 kilometers thanks to its 600 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries. Regarding production in Turkey, CEO Rådström stated that the initial focus would be on manufacturing in Germany but did not rule out the possibility of producing electric trucks in Turkey if there is sufficient demand.

These developments have reignited discussions about the future of electric trucks, particularly in terms of design and range.
