Türkiye’nin önde gelen savunma ve teknoloji şirketi ASELSAN ile yerli ticari araç üreticisi BMC’nin ortak çalışmasıyla 2023 yılında üretilen ve tanıtılan Procity 12 metre EV elektrikli otobüs, şehir içi toplu ulaşımda çevreci ve sürdürülebilir bir alternatif olarak dikkat çekiyor. Yeni üretilen elektrikli otobüse dair Avrupa ve dünya’dan da yoğun talep var.

Procity 12 m EV’nin, Avrupa’da düzenlenecek prestijli Sustainable Bus Awards 2026 (Sürdürülebilir Otobüs Ödülleri 2026) yarışmasına katılacak Belçika’da gerçekleştirilecek bu yarışmada dünya devi otobüs üreticilerinin geliştirdiği en yeni elektrikli otobüslerle rekabet edecek olan Procity 12 m EV, Türkiye’nin yerli ve milli elektrikli otobüs teknolojisinin uluslararası ölçekteki iddiasını ortaya koymayı hedefliyor.

14 finalist açıklandı, kazananlar Belçika’nın başkenti Brüksel’de 3 Ekim 2025 Cuma günü başlayacak olan Busworld Europe fuarı resmî açılış galasında açıklanacak. Önceki yıllarda olduğu gibi, bireysel otobüs tipleri yalnızca teknik özelliklerine göre değil, aynı zamanda modern, verimli, çevre dostu ve sürdürülebilir toplu taşımadaki rollerine göre de değerlendirilecek; örneğin, üreticinin çevre bilinci, üretim koşulları veya otobüslerin yerleşik bileşenlerinin yeniden kullanılabilirliği, ayrıca araçların konforu ve gürültü seviyeleri de dikkate alınacak.

Locally Developed Electric Bus by ASELSAN and BMC: Procity 12 m EV Ready for Competition

Developed and introduced in 2023 through the collaboration of Turkey’s leading defense and technology company ASELSAN and local commercial vehicle manufacturer BMC, the Procity 12-meter EV electric bus stands out as an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative for urban public transportation. The newly developed electric bus has attracted strong demand not only from Turkey but also from across Europe and the world.

The Procity 12 m EV is set to participate in the prestigious Sustainable Bus Awards 2026, which will be held in Europe. In this competition, to take place in Belgium, the Procity 12 m EV will compete against the latest electric buses developed by global industry giants, aiming to demonstrate Turkey’s ambition and capability in locally engineered electric bus technology on an international scale.

Fourteen finalists have been announced. The winners will be revealed during the official opening gala of the Busworld Europe fair in Brussels, Belgium, on Friday, October 3, 2025. As in previous years, individual bus models will be evaluated not only on their technical specifications but also on their roles in modern, efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable public transportation. Considerations will include the manufacturer’s environmental awareness, production conditions, the recyclability of built-in components, as well as the comfort and noise levels of the vehicles.
