Turkey’s Bus, Minibus, and Midibus Export Performance in the First Quarter

In the first quarter of 2025, Turkey’s automotive sector maintained its momentum in passenger transport vehicle exports. Between January and March, exports of buses, minibuses, and midibuses increased by 2.3%, reaching $673.18 million. Vehicles were shipped to 55 countries.

France, Germany, and the United Kingdom remained Turkey’s top export markets, reflecting Europe’s continued trust in Turkish-made vehicles.

• France: $135 million (+30%)
• Germany: $120.4 million (+84.25%)
• UK: $64.3 million (+56.5%)

STRONG GROWTH IN EASTERN EUROPE

Turkey saw impressive growth in Eastern European markets, especially:

• Poland: $51.7 million (+96%)
• Serbia: $45.85 million (+303.4%)
• Romania: $21.2 million (+113.8%)

These figures highlight Turkey’s growing strength in Eastern Europe.

DECLINE IN SOME MARKETS

Meanwhile, exports to several key markets declined:

• Italy: $39 million (-40%)
• Spain: $26.4 million (-54%)
• USA: $16.6 million (-47%)
